Thermal transfer labels typically offer greater durability than sheet style inkjet or laser labels. In our General Purpose Series we offer three product choices to meet a wide variety of needs. Note: Thermal Transfer labels are supplied in a roll form on either a 1” or 3” diameter core. (Depending on printer) Thermal Transfer labels are used in Thermal Transfer printers which require a Thermal Transfer Ribbon.   Matte paper labels Matte white paper label, which provides excellent print quality. Its permanent adhesive is aggressive and is suitable for a wide variety of applications such as packaging and shipping labels. (Requires Thermal Transfer Ribbon)   Plastic labels Our plastic labels with excellent resistance to water and smudging. It is flexible and well-suited for applications where durability, strength (it will tear only if nicked) and excellent printability are important. It comes with an all-temperature adhesive with high initial tack on low-surface energy plastics, painted metal, fiber drums and textured surfaces. Common uses include asset-tracking, product marking and labeling. Outdoor durable for 3 to 6 months depending on climate conditions. Recommended Printing Ribbons: Resins Ribbons.   Polyester Labels Polyester based label with an aggressive permanent acrylic adhesive. Polyester is waterproof, scratch / tear resistant and provides excellent durability. Applications include instrument marking, long-term outdoor durable labels, asset-tracking and post-solder circuit board marking. It has been tested for autoclaving pressure-wash applications up to 50°C. (UL and CSA Recognized for indoor/outdoor use) Requires Thermal Transfer Ribbon   Thermal Transfer Labels for Specific Applications   UPC Labels  Save time and money by printing your own UPC Barcode labels. These labels are made from our matte white paper label stock with a permanent adhesive. Excellent print quality results in easy to scan barcodes. Requires Thermal Transfer Ribbon   Chemical Resist Labels  This specially formulated, chemical-resistant polyester label is well suited for thermal transfer printing with special high quality ribbons. It is especially appropriate in clinical laboratories where tough chemicals and solvents are used. The stock is waterproof and its adhesive is solvent and temperature resistant.
